NSU had ambitious plans for the Konsul II 501 OS-T. The aim was to conquer the premium motorbike segment, and the ‘Konsul’ brand name was intended to reinforce this objective. The Konsul could not compete with BMW motorbikes, and so it remained a rarity; only around 6,000 units were produced because demand was too low. From today’s perspective, the Konsul is an attractive collector’s item from the 1950s. Our Konsul has been on display in a museum for the past few years and requires appropriate servicing.
