In 1953, Auto Union GmbH unveiled the DKW RT 350 Binder sidecar combination to the public for the first time at its stand at the IFMA trade fair. The BKLS Luxus Binder sidecar can be recognised by its hinged front hood, which allows for easy access, and its padded armrests. Binder sidecars were manufactured in Reichertshofen. Only around 20 sidecars paired with a DKW RT 350 are known to exist, and of the entire Binder sidecar production run, only around 50 are thought to remain. Our sidecar has been meticulously restored and was part of a small museum’s collection in recent years.
