General Information:
The founder of Italjet was Leopoldo Tartarini, one of the most renowned designers in the field of post-war motorbike development. At the age of 20, Tartarini won the Milan–Taranto race in the sidecar class and, whilst still young, completed a round-the-world trip on a Ducati. Italjet was founded in 1961. Alongside the Tarbo models, the Grifon was arguably one of Italjet’s most interesting developments. Today, this café racer is a rarity sought after worldwide. Also worth mentioning is the Moped Pack 2, which is on display at the Museum of Modern Art. The Italjet Grifon 650, fitted with a Triumph Bonneville engine, is without question a major success for Leopoldo Tartarini. The quality of our Grifon is of the very highest standard.
