Thanks to the partnership with Floyd Clymer, a large number of Italjet models reached the US in the late 1960s and early 1970s. At times, more than 10,000 vehicles were sold there – a figure that was considerable by European standards. When developing the Scout, Tatarini was able to utilise his special frame design, which gave the Scout excellent handling – a feature that proved very popular with young people.
